DESCRIPTION:ABOUT THE PROGRAM\nMusic at Evergreen is Evergreen Museum & Library’s popular and eclectic series of classical music concerts that continues The Honorable John Work Garrett and Alice Warder Garrett’s tradition of presenting intimate performances in their home. The series’s 69th season concludes on February 19 with a performance by violinist Lun Li. \nPlease note: These are tickets for a single concert. To purchase subscription tickets for all three concerts in the 2022-2023 Music at Evergreen Concert Series\, click HERE. \n  \nABOUT THE PERFORMER\nA native of Shanghai\, China\, violinist Lun Li won First Prize in the 2021 Young Concert Artists Susan Wadsworth International Auditions\, The Paul A. Fish Memorial Prize\, the Buffalo Chamber Music Society Prize\, and was named John French Violin Chair at YCA. He is also the recent joint winner of First Prize at the Lillian and Maurice Barbash J.S. Bach Competition. Further accolades include winning second prize in Shanghai’s Haydn Chamber Competition\, resulting in an invitation to perform at the Helsinki Music Centre Festival. \nAn avid chamber musician\, Li has participated in the Marlboro Music Festival in Philadelphia; the Verbier Music Festival Academy in Switzerland; Music@Menlo’s international program in Atherton\, California; and Music from Angelfire in New Mexico. \nDuring the 2022-2023 season\, Li will make his New York City recital debut at Merkin Concert Hall and his Washington\, D.C.\, recital debut at the Kennedy Center’s Terrace Theater\, both presented by Young Concert Artists. Other recital and chamber music appearances include Clarion Concerts\, Brooklyn Chamber Music Society\, Jupiter Chamber Players\, Buffalo Chamber Music Society\, Evergreen Museum & Library in Baltimore\, Port Washington Library\, and Cutchogue Library. He will appear as concerto soloist with the Salisbury Symphony Orchestra and the Riverside Symphony at Alice Tully Hall. \nLi holds a Bachelor of Music from Curtis Institute of Music and a Master of Music from The Juilliard School. His mentors include Ida Kavafian\, Catherine Cho\, and Joseph Lin.
