Black History Month: The Power of Children

FREEABOUT THE PROGRAM
Explore the influence of Black art in America and celebrate African American heritage through dance, music, and visual art at this family program co-hosted by Homewood Museum and Inheritance Baltimore. Participants will be able to imitate the style of famous African American artists, including Tom Miller, David Driskell, and Romare Bearden. There will be a live drum call, a brief remembrance ceremony, and a dance performance by Baltimore School for the Arts student Edward Lee III.
REGISTRATION
- Open to children 5 years old and above.
- Children must be accompanied by an adult.
- Both children, and any adults accompanying them, need to purchase individual tickets.
- Due to limited space, there is a maximum of one parent/guardian per child.
- A second session of this program will be held from 2-3 p.m.
