Sketching at Evergreen: Boys’ Den
May 19, 2022 , 2:00 pm - 3:30 pm
$12ABOUT THE PROGRAM
Calling all budding artists! Evergreen Museum & Library is now offering multiple sketching sessions throughout the museum each month. Each 90-minute session focuses on a single room (check different dates for new room offerings). A docent will be on hand to answer any questions about the room, collections, and history of the house and its inhabitants
In order to protect our collection, we ask that only pencils or colored pencils be used when sketching inside the house. **Any type of water pens are not allowed. Supplies are not provided with purchase of ticket.
ABOUT THE ROOM
This session will focus on Evergreen’s Boys’ Den, which contains objects from the lives of the three Garrett brothers who called Evergreen home in the 1880s and a cast-iron and glass lofted library, reminiscent of the George Peabody Library’s iconic stacks.
